About Linden, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Linden was settled in late 1835 by the Lamb brothers - Richard and Perry. Perry Lamb owned an inn where he lodged travelers. This was the first sign of civilization in the location where Linden now sits.  The community of Linden was platted 5 years later by two partners by the name of Warner and Harris who also opened a hostel that same year.  Come 1851, Linden had a post office and Linden was incorporated as a village 20 years later.  In 1988, Linden officially and legally changed from a village to a city. This gradual growth and progress is a lovely example of a town surviving through economic changes and other issues. The town has continued the tradition of a welcoming atmosphere and comfortable setting well into the new millennium. The seasonal weather in the area is just another asset for people who enjoy watching the weather change; the leaves change colors and want their kids to play in the snow at least some of the year.

The surrounding area is filled with lovely people and small suburbs and bedroom communities. The urban center of Detroit is not far away and those who wish to work in the bigger city but want a smaller town to call home will find that there are many options. All the communities in the area work hard to prove a family-friendly and comfortable environment for both residents and visitors.  The nearby town Howell draws in many guests to the area with a wide variety of fun festivals. Howell's downtown area was selected in USA Today's 10 Best competition for "Best Main Street" and came in at # 2.  The small town is also home to the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest every year in the heat of summer in late June.

The region is bursting with history, natural wonder and beautiful views and architecture. If you are an outdoorsy type then you will definitely want to check out the many outdoor recreational options in the area. Brighton State Recreation Area is situated near Mount Brighton ski area. It is a sensational spot for some winter fun in Michigan. Want another awesome way to enjoy nature? The Waterloo–Pinckney Trail is a 35-mile trail which passes through glacial features and swamps and open meadows left over from farms.  It passes through 3 parks. It is the perfect way to spend a pretty summer day.
