About Milford, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The community of Milford is a lovely Michigan town located in a region rich in culture, natural assets, and community fortitude. Local towns hold numerous yearly festivals and the region’s parks, rivers, lakes, and trails are the perfect way to spend the tepid springs and summers that you can anticipate in this part of the globe. The first burst of industry came to the town about 200 years ago. The Lower Mill Pond was formed in 1836 to give waterpower for a variety of types of mills and factories. The Upper Mill Pond followed just under a decade later and then, in 1911, the Hubbell Pond was formed by a dam built on the Huron River to produce electrical energy.

Hydropower made it possible for Milford to develop into one of the initial communities to have electric lights and telephone services.  Later, Henry Ford built a carburetor plant and two hydroelectric stations planned to let residents continue their farming efforts while working in the factories, as well.  The factory is gone now and the town is relatively quiet these days. The pastoral atmosphere of the farming community was initially converted to accommodate the hustle and bustle of a factory town. Then, it adjusted once again becoming a quiet suburb known for lovely and safe neighborhoods. They even allow golf carts to be driven around town. Talk about charming!

Outdoorsy types will love the golf carts and will absolutely need to check out the Pinckney State Recreation Area. The park maintains countless miles of hiking trails and features three great campsites for various types of camping experiences. Those who are looking for a more modern and convenient camping experience will enjoy the Bruin Lake Modern Campground. It has 186 modern campsites. The area around the campground has a boat launch, fishing, and swimming areas as well as a playground. There is also Blind Lake Rustic Campground. T his site is for the rugged camper and probably not for a family vacation with the kids. It has ten rustic campsites with vault toilets and is a hike-in camping area – which means you’ll be leaving your car behind. Last but not least is Crooked Lake Campground, another rustic campsite with 12 camping areas.
