About Pinckney, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Pinckney is one of many lovely bedroom communities and suburbs in the Detroit area. It is big enough to have everything that you need for convenience but small enough that you will feel safe letting your kids outside to play. The family-friendly atmosphere of the community is one of its biggest assets.  The town celebrates community spirit any chance that it can whether it is a warm summer festival or a carnival in the chillier months, there is always something to do – if not right in Pinckney, in one of the nearby towns. The town hosts large parades each year on Saint Patrick's Day and Memorial Day. Pinckney Community Schools student musicians join with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra for an annual Side-by-Side performance. It is also near a novel tourist destination of Hell, Michigan.

The beautiful weather and the lush local natural beauty make spring and summer in Michigan a dream for an outdoor enthusiast and for families. In close proximity to the village (to the west) is the Pinckney State Recreation Area, Pinckney State Recreation Area is a Michigan state recreation area across Livingston County. The park is 11,000 acres (4,500 ha) and sits at a height of 922 feet (281 m). The recreational area is linked to the nearby Waterloo State Recreation Area by Waterloo–Pinckney Trail. Pinckney State Recreation Area is open for year-round leisure plus hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting and a variety of wintry weather games and sports. The majority of the wooded areas in Pinckney are on earth too precipitous or considered otherwise incompatible for agricultural endeavors. The flatter topography that was initially used as farmland was allowed to become overrun with indigenous plants and invasive plants like knapweed, quack grass, timothy-grass, etc. have gained full grip. Further vegetation found in Pinckney, like the white lady's-slipper and rose pink, are categorized as "threatened.” Mammals found in Pinckney include white-tailed deer, raccoons, and opossums. There are also various water birds such as blue-winged teals, snow geese, mallard, egrets, great blue herons and sandhill cranes.

Pinckney State Recreation Area maintains quite a few campgrounds and miles of hiking trails. Bruin Lake Modern Campground has 186 up to date campsites while Blind Lake Rustic Campground Crooked Lake Campground has a total of 22 rustic campsites for those who like to rough it a bit when they are in nature.  Silver Lake is the park hub and a lot of park activities go on there. There is a swimming beach on the water as well as access to lovely trails including the 17-mile (27 km) Potawatomi mountain bike trail and the 35-mile (56 km) Waterloo-Pinckney Hiking Trail. The park allows hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, picnicking and boating depending on the season and the weather of course.
